Hello Ayodeji Oladimeji Really great questions.

Web monetization compared to ads and subscriptions can be referred to a solution that solves all the downsides of ads and subscription. From inter-border currency conversion problems in the subscription model, to privacy intrusion, targeted ads and misinformation in the ads model.
Few organizations using web monetization already are : Hashnode, Youtube, Twitch, and a more comprehensive list here
Grant for the web is a body set up by Mozilla, Creative Commons and Coil to push and support the adoption of web monetization all around the web.
