The developer finds useful tools constantly but fails to organize them effectively.
Initially, bookmarking is good. But then comes chaos:
Overwhelming amounts of links
Disorganized information
Frequent searching again
Eventually, you begin to say: “I have come across this before somewhere…”
Not that there are no tools. But rather that there is no easy system for managing and reviewing these.
If the tools are scattered:
You lose your rhythm
You waste time trying to find it all again
You fail to recall what you’ve discovered before
It all came down to viewing the tools as applications or "apps" rather than just bookmarks.
Easy to use, easy to find and organized according to their function. Sort of like an app store on the computer but for your own private usage.
I have been trying out different arrangements for myself in which the tools were stored all in one place for easy access based on the work I am doing. Platforms such as unstore.io are examples of tools organized in this way.
What you need is not more tools but rather a better way to organize and track the ones that you already have.
Since the quicker you can access them, the quicker you can build.
