Clones only prove you can follow a tutorial. They don’t prove you can think critically, debug messy state issues, or handle real-world edge cases. If you want to stand out to recruiters in this brutal market, you need to build things that solve real problems. Go find a local business and build a tool for them, create a micro-SaaS that fixes a personal annoyance, or contribute to open-source infrastructure.
