I recently joined a URL monitoring challenge at work.
The more I look at URL monitoring, the less “simple” it feels.
At first, it sounded straightforward: enter a URL, check it regularly, and get an alert when something goes wrong.
But it raises bigger questions.
Who is monitoring really for?
How do non-developers understand errors?
What should users do after checking the status?
I started writing down the questions, decisions, and lessons from this challenge on my Hashnode blog.
Would love to hear how others think about this.
