picture you want to play with your friends. The game has the goal to build as many sandcastles as possible.
There is one kid in charge that helps the others and has the hat which contains small papers where you see what the next sandcastle it you should build.
In this hat there could be any kind of number of sandcastles and different forms like: it should have two towers and one drawbridge or only have one tower and so on.
Everyone is in it's own separate sandbox on the playground and you cannot see each other, because there are bushes between you, but you can hear each other.
Every kid can only yell to the sandboxes around it to check if for example a sandbox is free (if it's done with his) or to ask for the kid with the hat.
Every time you're finished building a sandcastle you have to switch with another kid that is free and if none is free you maybe you have to stay in the same sandcastle.
To know which box is free you have to yell which box is free so the other kids around you, can answer you. If one is free and only if there isn't another kid using it. if not you have to go to the kid with the hat to get a sandbox and castle picture.
if one kid has to leave because maybe it's mom is calling it home. it has to give the paper of the of its sandcastle to the kid in charge which then will give it to the other children.
So this way every kid is independent, works in parallel, is redundant, only communicates locally and has no prior knowledge of its environment where it will work, redundancy and some fault tolerance
I most likely forgot something. Please do let me know
