As you can see, Devmag's design is inspired by Google's Material Design guidelines. It looks good on mobile devices but becomes very flashy when implemented for desktop applications.

Hence, we modified and violated some of the principles to make it look good on desktops. Also, our challenge was to make it appealing for developers who generally don't like design heavy websites.

This website is designed almost entirely with Material Design in mind, as far as I can see. Material Design is promoted by Google as it's their design.
