Anyone care to share their useful Chrome Extensions? Brief description of what it does, why you like it and if it's specific to any service (paid or free) or any language.
Here are a few I use:
Wappalyzer - see what tech a website uses
Grid Ruler - draw guide lines on a page to help troubleshoot element alignment
BrowserStack - specific to browserstack.com service, but allows you to quickly launch a specific browser for testing
AdBlock a given, now a days
Meta SEO Inspector: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/meta-seo-inspec…
Pocket: I use this to read the page later, there is also an android app, so you can read it later on your phone or tab chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pocket/mjcnijlh…
I wonder why no one mentioned any of this awesome extensions. So I'll do it. I hope someone will find them useful.
Session buddy - Save your current browsing session for later
Javascript Errors Notifier - shows up when Chrome encounters a JS bug of some sort. Shows file and location within file where error occurred. Been using it for years.
One of my favorites is PostMan. It's my go-to for working with REST APIs.
I also love and use wappalyzer.
Not a Chrome Extension but a Chrome App:
Build your own icon-fonts and css-icon-frameworks by importing your svg's and combining it with free icons of for example Iconic and Font Awesome.
