Frameworks for PHP.
Many articles are starting to say, just write your JS in VanillaJS - you don't need React, AngularJS, Vue, etc...
So why not write PHP without Symphony or Composer or Lumen or etc... But everyone that came to PHP in recent years thinks the language is horrible and want to use a framework, while some of us older programmers think PHP is just fine without all the weight of a framework.
Frameworks and libraries that ignore the power and use case of the language they are written in. Constant badgering about "the wonders of Smalltalk" I find bothersome.

The negativity that surrounds the release of new (JS) frameworks. I understand that it's difficult to keep up with the incredible pace of innovation - nobody fully can - but don't let that result in anger or frustration to those that have put hours into creating something potentially awesome, fully documented and open source.
