Just curious how other developers plan their day and what they really do daily?
I do the following things:
It really depends on the day. I work at an agency and also do some freelance / personal project stuff on the side. It's pretty fast and loose and depends on the day, especially the pre/post-work stuff.
It's pretty boring, now when I actually think about it. It goes like this: -
Here's my strict schedule for summers

Planning, coding, and research are the keywords.
Planning is obvious, i guess. Whenever we outline a new feature in words, i have to think through how this will work with the existing components, what new components or functionalities we need, up to (and sometimes including) some rough prototypes.
Coding is simply carrying out those plans. With the exception of some rare cases this is a very mundane task, sometimes even boring. Those exceptions, though… those are the moments when my rubber duck can shine.
Research is a somewhat different beast. I oft find myself looking around how others solve problems i have at hand. Not necessarily because iʼm clueless but because iʼm curious. I also keep my eye on the tech word, looking for buzzwords we can ride to make our service better or when pitching new clients.
Other than that, i often have meetings with the sales team and our CEO to decide which way to go. I also take a huge part from infrastructure management, and mentoring colleagues in our developer and data science teams.
It is not exactly same on all the days. As I have multiple responsibilities, things vary based on priorities.
Most of the days are like:
Extended Day at home after returning
Hashnode is a fully remote team. So my day starts with a short standup and then the regular work.
I work on extensions for clients that mostly include feature implementation and bug fixes. - the time required until I finish or get tired.
I watch/listen to some youtube videos, not limited to programming - time? all the time.
Working on my own projects. - 2-3 hours a day.
Browsing Hashnode? Every half an hour helps me to get some rest and help others if I can.

Ah, let's see...
I arrive at the office around 9 in the morning and I do the followings
After all this I leave the office, either to the gym, home or meeting with friends and my activity depends on that, usually if I go home I will take a shower, have dinner and continue coding on one of my websites or work on my home automation "gadgets" with ESP8266 or Arduino.
