There are a few browsers using the Blink engine like Vivaldi and Brave. I have tried them and I stick to Chrome or Chromium.
I like the concept of blocking ads yet supporting worthy news outlets by donating money. I think Brave concept might work if people start spending money and when that money goes to worthy news outlets like BBC,WSJ,NYT,Guardian etc... Hoping for a better web
Brave is a great browser with few exceptions.
I'm missing some plugins or extensions, but the overall feel is very positive. The reason why I'm not using it daily is that rescuetime.com doesn't support the Brave browser. I use rescuetime.com to check where I'm wasting time and negatively impact my productivity. Brave, unlike Chrome or Firefox, isn't correctly analyzed to recognized my spent-time-on-websites.
I use Brave on my iPhone, and I love it. Maybe shortly, Brave learns how to synchronize bookmarks between mobile and desktop or at least sync open tabs or make them available somehow to be accessed from different devices.
I used Brave desktop for a couple of weeks until I realized my rescuetime.com stats are broken.
I would use Brave as my default browser again - if the rescuetime.com issue gets fixed or I find a similar time tracking service not messing around with Brave.
The font rendering is really bad on windows. Everything looks fuzzy. I do appreciate how much faster the browser is though with all of the ad+tracking blocking.
I just started with brave, the experience so far has been amazing, its blazing fast and smooth. I think im gonna be using it daily.... :)
