The definition has definitely warped over the years. To me, a 'true' full-stack engineer isn't a master of every single framework and cloud service—that's an impossible standard today. It’s about having a T-shaped skill set: deep expertise in one or two areas, but enough broad knowledge to confidently jump from UI state management to database indexing and basic DevOps without getting paralyzed. It’s a mindset of end-to-end ownership.
