It depends on the Agile framework you are applying to. Today, the two most popular models of Agile are Scrum and Kanban . Kanban isn't well suited for new developers that need to be onboard. It has less structure and as a new developer, you'll probably need to adhere to some guidelines to get going. Scrum, on the other hand, features a rigid process - sprints; daily stand-ups; retrospectives, etc. The point being, it'll be easier for you to adapt to Scrum as a new developer. Though if you are using Kanban, try to learn more about it and see how can you apply it to your processes.
