How common is developing web applications with Python and it's frameworks in the market today and what is the prediction for it's usage in the near future?
Python will boom as long as Machine Learning and artificial intelligence booms in the market. As you know python is capable of building scalable solutions and it is efficient. But we have to consider the fact that languages should be used for their ability, I mean python is not necessary for building e-commerce kinda project instead, we can use ruby-on-rails for that purpose. Python can be used for building live streaming related applications, where we can use its core features to its maximum potential!!
When we talk about Python Frameworks!! There are lots of frameworks that's been built over python, booming ones are listed below!!
As told, python will contribute to many beautiful applications in future. But we have to keep in mind, that newcomer "julia" is diving in the market!!
with php taking a complete dive in the market, I suspect because Python is able to linger between Software Development and Web Development. It's got quite a bright future. Only the other day I done a video on Youtube comparing The Flask and Django, I'm so glad now I picked Django as it opens more doors than Flask I personally thing. Alot more scablable especially if you want to play with the big guns

It looks like Django is bigger and stable, while Flash is smaller but growing.
There's work on web-sockets and stuff for Django, so it's capable of making modern websites. But I don't have a time machine to see whether that causes massive hype or is largely ignored - you'll have to do your own extrapolation for to the near future.
(I didn't include Javascript ones because "nodejs" is not a webframework, "express" is a common English word and no one seems to search "express.js")

As everyone has it's own suggestion and I know that my suggestions will be different from you guys. I prefer laravel as I am doing work on it in a web design company to get implementing experience in it. By the way, it's not necessary for us to select the skills others are referring. It's on us that on which skill we are interested in.
