I'm brand new to exploring React Native, and I'm currently working with TextEdit. Normally I use IDEs such as Xcode, Visual Studio (Windows), or Android Studio. I'm looking for a recommendation for playing with React Native.
I am on a Mac system and currently thinking about Atom, but I want to know what everybody prefers!
I love and use VS Code but I also strongly believe WebStorm will do justice to it.
Atom with some useful plugins for ES6 + React (github.com/kevin-wolf/dotfiles/blob/master/apps/a…).

Unarguably VS Code. One of the very few Microsoft products that are actually worth using. It has been made using the same Atom technology ( Electron framework to be precise ) but the kind of optimisation they have done makes it work like magic. It's lightning fast, to be honest, unbelievably fast. It looks and feels great to use. Supports tons of plugins, useful ones.
All in all, it is good at what it's supposed to be good at. Fast text editing.
