Am I happy?
Am I learning new things?
Am I doing the things that will get me to my goals?
Am I helping people around me reach their goals?
Am I creating things that are useful to people?
Does variable or function name make sense to an outsider.
What is the name of day ?
Did I learn something new today? Am I going to bed knowing something that I did not know when I woke up this morning?
"How should I respond to my client not paying me in a timely manner?"
What's something I can do today that goes just one step further than I've gone before?
Why am I doing what I am?
Never underestimate the power of your why.
Will I learn something new today?
Am I contributing enough?
Can I contribute a little more today?

"What don't I know?"
I focus on client/server/user-oriented methods of design and development at this point, with no other subjects intruding. It's a great way to start your day, and gets your brain thinking in a problem solving manner.
I wake up, do my morning stuff, make some coffee, and quickly think about the previous day with that exact question. As a developer, it shouldn't take much time to cherry pick one from your "personal backlog of issues".
Then, I drink my coffee and research it for approx. 10 mins. If it's something important or interesting, it'll stick like a mental bookmark, to continue learning about whatever it is.
