Syed Fazle Rahman, Milica Maksimović and I have been chatting about whether it makes sense to call people on Hashnode Hashnoders. What do you think?
Oh, Internetters, will you never learn?
I'd go with Hashnoodles.
But just ignore me, as I'm even fine being called a “butt” on the Secure Scuttlebutt (SSB) network.
Also, one of the hardest parts of development is naming things, that's why we're called developers, not something fancy.
"Hashnode community developers": ain't nobody got time to type that.
On here "members" is clear enough. I haven't had the need to refer to Hasnode community developers outside of here yet.
I don't get the question.
Devs are devs. Thats the definition if you use such a term what are the designers on hashnode, project managers, hobbiests? non-hashnoders?
If the question means 'how should we call our users' I would vote hashnoders.
But if it's about devs ... call them devs that's what they are.
I'd say that "Hashnoders", as well as "Hashnode users" are acceptable terms, because that's what we are.
"Hashnode community developers", imho, sounds more like devs who are working on an OSS project, or people who develop the Hashnode community in a social sense. I would think of you, the Hashnode team, as such people.
Other terms which might come to mind... dunno 🤔, I never really thought about it. Will tell you if anything comes to mind, though 😉
