I have a job opportunity which requires me to update my Java skills, which I haven't used since school in the mid 00's. What are some good websites, books or video series which can get me back on my feet without making me relearn what loops are or core concepts like OO.
I last used Java with EE 5, and now I need to learn both the changes in EE, SE and the language itself (lambdas...?) in about two months. (I obviously can't JUST do this for two months, but I need to be ready in two months while also doing other work.)
Thank you so much for sharing all this wonderful info with the how-to's!!!! It is so appreciated!!!” “You have good humor in your posts. Lot's has changed, I suggest Java8 Lambdas, there's a nice book covering just Java Generics, JavaEE7 by Arun Gupta if you want to work through the latest JavaEE, Java8 Pocket Guide is great to get a quick overview of what is new otherwise Java8 in Action goes into a lot more detail.
