But opposite to that there are real and successful projects already out there https://status.im/ , https://brave.com/ (creator of javascript, Ex CF of Mozila). Both they raised i think over $50-70 mil together.

So if I would came to your comment without knowing anything about ICO I would think its scam, which is not. Even 90% of ICO's are garbage, still the concept and idea of ICO is very legit and for first time decentralized.

Stefan Smiljkovic Sorry, but the ENTIRE thing reeks of the same type of "Sophisticated investor will give money for vague promises" that led to the original dotcom bubble and the inevitable burst. There are ALWAYS "first under the wire" projects that make a technique seem legitimate, but like any other get rich quick scheme they are the exception, not the rule.

There are LOTS of scams that make money at the start leading to everyone and their brother emulating it out of blind hope and outright ignorance. Doesn't make it the least bit legitimate either way.

Just because some folks made a buck off it doesn't make it any less of a scam than Paltrow telling women to stuff jade eggs up their steamed clams.

I am talking about that "exception" and not about rule. As I said most of them are junk, and it's investor own fault if he invest in wrong one.

It's kind a free and wild world, where you are responsible for your decisions and you can't cry back to your mom/government and ask for refund.

Now I don't get your hesitate on this. The concept sounds pretty legit and fair where anyone is able to invest, instead of IPO where only rich can. On another thing, it's your own fault if you made wrong bet or decision, same shit as you walk out the street, make wrong move and get hit by car.

This is mix of IPO + crowdfunding/sale where you sale your product upfront (either have it or not) it's investor decision to make. And yes that is beauty, cause it's let everyone jump into game.
