Hey Vladimir! Thanks for the question. Here are my thoughts:
We are working on making Hashnode the best storytelling platform for developers. We initially started as a Q&A community for developers. But we have updated our goal in 2019 and we believe that every developer should own a blog. So, our current goal is to build the best blogging platform for individual developers and teams and all our effort is going into that direction. Here are a few things we are currently building w.r.t devblog:
And here are a few things we are doing w.r.t Hashnode in general:
Mobile apps - We know it's long due. However, being a small startup with 6 members we have been experimenting with various ideas to find the product market fit. With devblog, we are pretty confident that we are onto something big and now is the time to shift the gear. So, we are taking a fresh look at the mobile apps. The initial version is ready and will most likely launch on app store this week!
PRO features and monetization plans: Although we have raised sufficient funds to run Hashnode, we are looking to introduce a revenue model for long term viability. We have a few ideas in mind and I'll share them in a separate post.
So, the tldr is: Our focus is on blogging and we want to be the best platform for dev bloggers. We are constantly talking to our users, getting their feedback and are improving our product.
We are also thinking to create a public roadmap and let everyone chime in and contribute to it. Let me know what you think! :)
