Please state the name of your country and the salary of an entry level developer there (doesn't have to be accurate. A close guess will do). I know I could have just searched on Google, but nothing is better than asking such a diverse audience here!
I would like to piggyback off this question i hope thats ok. What is the relationship to the money being stated in these different countries. In the US 36,000 a year is a low wage. 76,000 is getting better but still at the low end considering cost of living. Is being a developer a decent living in other countries or is it just something you fall into?
Depends on the technology you will work and also location. Bay area (San Francisco and Silicon Valley) developers will make much more in comparison to other states, but the living costs are also much higher. Please check link below:
In Bulgaria (and probably in most other countries) the entry salary varies greatly, based entry position, location and the company itself.
In a big city, where the search for IT specialists is bigger, the salaries start from ~500$ to 1500$. For a smaller/medium city - ~350$ to 800$.
Just out of curiosity, why are you asking?
Macedonia: from around $250 up to $400 depending on the company.
