We have been using few open source libraries(e.g, poppler) in one of our Ruby on Rails applications(as a micro service) . We are still in alpha and haven't faced any issue so far but we also haven't done performance testing.

But can anybody suggest which language/framework should use to handle a large number of requests executing shell commands?
