I am fairly new to hashnode and i can clearly figure out the hashnode community is greatly one sided towards web development and javascript in particular. Decided to search through the nodes some minutes ago and i saw the lack of existence of any other node not tied to web development .
Hey this has been already answered here: hashnode.com/post/is-hashnode-biased-towards-web-…
Hashnode is a platform for user generated content. If you miss anything or feel a topic is underrepresented then this issue is not about Hashnode as a platform; it's about the community and what content users share, post and ask.
It's indeed not very satisfying when one joins Hashnode and seeks for specific content, but not many, or even no one has published such content here on Hashnode.
Attracting people to share topic-oriented content could be addressed by the marketing guys at Hashnode or the community motivates itself to share, post, and ask pretty much anything.

Welcome To Hashnode!
Did you take a look at the Nodes page? There are also nodes, which are not tied to web development, like
And many more. At the moment, General Programming has ties to web development out of the practical reason that there is no dedicated "Web Development" node; however it still is for all the general stuff, not only web development. All in all, Hashnode is an open community for all kinds of developers and technologies.
I personally did a lot in C++ and at the moment I am learning Rust (and Vulkan; using them on my game project). So
feel freeI welcome you to post questions, links and articles in those and other nodes!
