I believe that we should not forget about the professional skills that an engineer needs. Skills requirements here are quite unpretentious: a bachelor's degree in computer science, application development, or software. In fact, any education related to computers will already allow you to apply for the position of Software Engineer. The desire to learn and grow will not be superfluous either to become a propulsion engineer. Profile education is also important. In some areas, self-taught people (or those who have completed online courses) may work here, but this is not enough for software engineering. Of course, there are also specialists who have come to their senses, but this requires a special type of thinking, perseverance, and a great desire to develop. In general, this is a rather atypical career path.
