Great Blog, there's only one DE that you missed and I use it on my 2 servers running Plex and 3 laptops and that's Ubuntu MATE. I'll be coming back to this blog for sure!
Thanks a lot David, I tried my best to include most of the beginner friendly knowledge however it is hard to include every distro or DE. I hope this Article was helpful 😄 . I am sure there are tons of awesome DE and Distros out there that folks love and use on daily basis.
Shubh Sharma You're right, I've been using Linux in the flavour of Ubuntu since 9.10 after getting fed up with Windows and I just wanted to try something new, now I'm learning things even after 14 years. Being registered blind has its downsides, but I use Compiz for the zoom if I need to enlarge text.
I used to code in VB and VB.net and a bit of C/C++ and I'm now thinking of taking it back up since finding hashnode by sheer accident 😁
