I’ve loved the experience of focusing on the craftsmanship of my code. That idea resonates.
I have had massive frustration with (1) my effort not mattering or being a positive force for the business and (2) the work I’m doing not being used for things that I care about (usually it’s just about selling more units, not helping the user be better, happier, or more efficient).
Maybe I need to read Newport’s book.
I’m curious if it addresses my particular frustration.
