Hello Hashnoders! I hope you are having a great day. We have been working on something exciting for the last couple of weeks and it's time to show an early preview to the whole community and take feedback. Stories are an important part of Hashnode. ...

I am wondering, as I am already publishing on dev.to (but also medium), what could be the addition you offer? Besides the fact that it's linked to Hashnode? Thanks! ❤

The benefit is that you will publish your content under your own branding and domain. You can always syndicate your content to Medium and other websites for extra traffic and visibility. Does that answer your question? :)

Love the idea, a really nice addition to Hashnode. 👍

This is really cool and looking forward to join with it.

I'm a mechatronics guy. So, if I would start a blog, it would result in a mix of OSS (Open Source Software) and OSH (Open Source Hardware). Maybe this contradicts to Hashnodes software concentrated audience.

Is an overarching thematic spectrum welcome? Or off-topic articles?

Hmm. We are still debating whether allowing off-topic content is ok. How about giving authors an ability to control the posts that should be shown to Hashnode audience? For example, if you are writing something that doesn't fit into the engineering domain you can choose to exclude it from Hashnode feeds. It will just be available on your blog. Thoughts?

Peter Scheler We just released an update using which you can now exclude certain posts from appearing on Hashnode. :)

I'm very interested! This is a great idea and could greatly simplify creating a blog!

We have got a bunch of responses to our typeform so far. :) We are pretty excited. Keep them coming. I'll unlock the blogs and start giving access in the morning (it's 1AM here right now 😉). cc j

cool :) no stress ;D i was working till 10pm anyways ;D so no rush ;D this week is fast enough for me ;D I have a hack session, a table top session and a concert planned the next 3 days :) I don't need to be the highest priority :D although I appreciate it ;D

Good to hear that! What's your feedback based on initial impression? :)

Syed Fazle Rahman you mean the idea? I think it's great the monetization issue will ofc exist also the question of infrastructure isolation and if I could export my content.

but besides this I think it's nice ;D I like to have an interlinked blog to hashnode ;D As you most likely already figured out. I don't have any special goals but not everything I want to write about code is built for hashnode.

I will give you feedback as soon as I really tested it out ;D ... and personally I want to fix some annoying things that are low prio for you guys ;D
