I don’t quite get the question very well.
But as you pointed out, the internet serves various purposes, and the web is just one of its many applications. Email is another essential function of the internet, and it employs a different protocol called SMTP, which stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
However, both HTTP, used for the web, and SMTP for email, operate under the hood using the TCP protocol.

Great write up.. I just want to clarify that Internet is not specifically for web it crosses across all fields. Let me use Military as a case study. Does the internet come in place when military personnel are seeing other target area? I hope you understand the question
