Thanks for writing this. I'm in my 40's and trying to pivot also- although I took the route of going back to university. I don't expect them to teach me much of what I'll need to learn; only give me the piece of paper degree. I lack job experience, so I'm hoping the degree with help. Either way, your article gave me hope that employment is possible and that learning is possible. I used to be able to pick up new skills so easily, but it's been a big challenge for me this first semester to be honest. I move forward believing it will all make sense eventually.
