Writing the article took a couple of weeks in total. I had already solved most of the problems over the past couple of years, but I had to come up with the right topics, review my notes, select the problems and the challenges, solve some new problems to better illustrate some of the techniques, and leave things out (probably the hardest part, because I really enjoy this).
