I am trying to find a promotion where I can activate an account for my client without paying their entire year upfront. I found a great WPengine promotion offering 4 months free and a 60-day free trial but it is not an honest free trial.

The 60-day trial only offers a money-back guarantee, if you cancel within 60 days- it is not a $0 payment trial for 60 days.

The 4 months free requires you to pay the total annual bill which will be discounted for 12 months. Making the cost for the Startup Plan $20/mo. to achieve the $120 worth of savings. You'll pay only $240 vs $360 for year one, but it will have to be upfront.

The following years will be $25/mo if you pay the entire year upfront OR $30/mo if you pay monthly.

It's a great deal if you don't need to quickly activate over a weekend when you can't reach your client, without fronting the money and having to invoice the client for the transaction. This then requires you to update the account information.

Unfortunately, you cannot quickly activate a plan to begin work without your client's Payment information. Not a big deal for anyone not in this situation.
