I completely agree with you. I think similar misconceptions exist among many II-CCN students. Both the "II-BDCC" and "II-CCN" fields at ENSET Mohammedia often overlook the fact that their core focus lies in "ingénieur informatique" (IT engineer) in French. This can negatively impact their internship and job opportunities after graduation. Our specializations, "Big Data" and "Cybersecurity et confiance numérique," are highly sought-after by companies, but their specific nature can make it challenging for students to gain initial trust and secure positions in those fields. As a result, both undergraduate and graduate students often end up with internships or jobs more closely related to general IT. Finally, I want to thank you for your insightful blog and encourage you to keep up the excellent work!
I really appreciate your blog, and as you said, many students of II-BDCC ,and also II-CCN that stands for "Ingénieurie Informatique: Cybersécurité et confiance numérique", overlook the fact that their program begins with II, which stands for "ingénieur informatique." Therefore, before focusing solely on specialization, it is wiser to develop a broader skillset to enhance their chances of employment after graduation. Moreover, since our specialization is so sensitive for companies, it is challenging, if not impossible, to gain their trust in diagnosing their data infrastructure or security systems.
