The decision that matters here is the authoring agent never merging on its own verdict, a separate verifier swarm has to return clean on the exact patch. Self-grading is where most agent pipelines quietly break, so making fresh-eyes verification mandatory is right even if the 2,462 figure is self-reported and mostly gardening. How independent are the verifiers really, if they share the same base model as the author?
