A great outlook! π Slowly, I'm starting to understand why people rant about software development, even though I find it pretty fun;
Because of where it leads, and the dready job where optimizing some small functions occasionally, which software development is reduced to increase "performance" of large codebases, that makes the rich even richer and barely "affecting lives".
I heard a guy over on hacker news saying how he loved creating new apps which he did when he was independently learning, but his job dissolved into maintaining said codebases, and turned into boring labour. Even though he was paid well, he lost interest, which had him reconsider development and change his profession to a baker. π₯²
