Hey O, This is the 2nd or 3rd article I have read of yours and I like your perspective.
One thing that resonated for me was 'know what fields are out there.' For a long time, I thought programming was just using C which seemed so opaque to a self-taught programmer. Not only that I heard many titles bandied about but they weren't fully described. To me, devops and QA are still foreign.
