Hey Daniel! You're right - the Docker works differently. And we have been thinking about this same thing as we've built out the learn-druid repo, which uses the Docker image. We wanted to find a way to automatically take full advantage of whatever hardware someone is running the environment on, in the way that the script does.
Thanks Peter for sharing. It doesn't seem this script is currently used in Druid's official docker images. Is there a plan for it ? Would it make sense for k8s druid deployment simplification ?
