From my own experience with pomodoro, which I used during intense and hardcore studying for exams (didn't study until 2 weeks before... my bad) it gave great results. I have diagnosed ADD, and reading/studying something boring for 1-3h, or even worse when it's long sessions like 12h, is a constant battle with my attention span. Pomodoro helps to set small goals, which makes it a bit easier to get through, rather than one impossibly huge task, which is often how it appears in my monkey brain.
I might add that on Win 11 the Clock app has a similar feature to pomodoro. I'm unsure if the Clock app on Win 10 has gotten the same updates though.
