Wonderful piece, well done. This is not exclusive to IT either, I've experienced this at work and in my (competitive hobby). I found a way to get over it though: engage in forums or events where you can help people by TEACHING. This will put you in the position where you're constantly learning because you're solving other people's issues. Nothing balances you out as much as teaching.

This is a great article. I just started my journey and was so overwhelmed last night I just started crying. I needed to cry it out and I know I'll probably cry again but I have promised myself to keep pushing. Nice article
