I've given this some more thought recently and I agree with you that the intersection of course exists.
Another, more obvious example of such an intersection, is a full stack developer, who does both the work of a front end developer and the work of a back end developer.
I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I'm new-ish to software development and haven't got my first job yet. But can already agree that there is a lot of buzzwordiness around.
And the requirements are depressingly ridiculous. XD
I don't know much about UX nor UI. But I think there may be a genuine intersection where people may specialize? I have seen "interaction designer" which to my ears kinda sounds like that intersection
