Your post is inspiring, I am doing something similar right now. I am moving away from the big city to go back to my country of origin. For now, I will continue to work remotely with the same company but they cannot guarantee they will continue to work this way after the pandemic. However, I am really tired of living in this city and I think it's the right time for me to leave my comfort zone.
It was a shock to see that companies treat their employees as such. Would you mind giving some advice on how did you find the remote job, what was the process? You can even write it as a blog post.
