At my last company vim was our compulsory in house editor. Did it for a year and it definitely makes editing your code a lot easier.

If you asking about the GIFs meme it is Giphy website. For the Video GIFs a Google search will give you some free software to use.

I do not remember the application I used but if you would ask me now, I am using Peek on Linux.

In my experience, VIM can help you be pretty productive, you're only focus in your keyboard and even though it takes time to really feel comfortable with, it paids off.

It's not that I use it everyday for coding, but when I do, I do feel like I'm focused.

I would encourage learning VIM over anything.

How could you use it from time to time? When I adopted it, I cannot write a single line of code without it.

I think you should take the time to practice to the point it becomes an indispensable tool in your tool kit.
