In my research, I found Substack and Hashnode were good enough to get started with tech writing. Medium is fine but its too crowded and its for everyone not especially for coders. For me, this transition took no time. It was instant, domain was propagated. In-fact I also wrote a post [made video as well] about it. I had a very warm welcome even before posting a thing Ambassadors reached out to me on Twitter I'm afraid :) in my case no one cared Not even yet, no one reads so noone comments 馃槀 lol May be you already have a good following on twitter thats why they contacted you because if you're on the board then people who follows you would get influence. But still I genuinely appreciate Hashnode's endeavor it's good. I like it except one or two things which I can live with for now. They keep adding features and I hope they will surpass substack soon.
IF I have to pick one thing [from reading your article] that would be: 'I have such posts because I had topics I wanted to talk about'. The courage to do what your heart is after 馃憦 I'm not against of attracting tech opportunities from writing but I'm more inclined to do what I love to do. You're in a flow-state when you do what you love. Lastly, you also nailed it that narrowing down is the key. In this one can kill two birds with one stone [doing what we love and attracting the opportunities as well]
I'm super exited 馃槂馃槃馃槉to be a part of Dev Retro 2022 campaign [and will post it soon]. More importantly it will encourage and help developers to reflect back 馃摑which is very important, if you really want to progress 馃搱 in your journey otherwise its so easy to get lost so reflection is very crucial. Great endeavor from Hashnode. I wish all the best馃憢 to everyone :)
