The one good tutorial I was looking for! "Merci beaucoup" from Paris!

This means the app does detect that you have the Metamask extension on your browser, but that you haven't connected to any address with it. The "User denied web3 access" is displayed in the console when that is the case. I have updated to tutorial (and repo) so that the error is explicitly displayed on the page as well.
