I agree with this. I started learning frontend because I thought backend would be too hard to get into without a CS degree. I ended up scrapping that and decided to focus on backend because it’s more interesting to me, despite the fact learning will take longer. I’m using The Odin Project because I really like their community and trust their curriculum… only potential downside is their backend teaches RoR. Is this really a big deal? I see a lot of mixed opinions on Ruby/RoR. Shouldn’t programming concepts be transferable no matter the tech stack learned?
