Hey Taylor, Nice to see you hosting AMA. In your opinion, how can a developer grow with respect to technicality and better life? And what do you consider "the growth of a programmer" ? Is it about being better in coding or understanding architectures or leading others or contributing into something bigger?
I can see you have worked on many open source projects. So do you work on them in your spare time or some one hired you to do things like KeystoneJS ? If you do it in your spare time then how you manage to do it? Any advise for someone who want to do such open source projects as well while doing full-time job as well?
Hey Max, I am a LAMP stack developer while JavaScript was my competitive advantage over fellow developers. I am good at JavaScript and want to improve it and want to learn Node and React etc. What do you think is the best resource for that? Some book or Screen-casts? Like in PHP when I found http://laracasts.com/ I thought why I didn't find something like this when I started. So is there any such resource in JavaScript world?
@atom I understand but believe me, starting from Laravel will be better for you if you want to go further with development. What I want to convey is to motivate you guys towards Laravel, even in start of career, it will be good if you will see many other good practices, more design patterns etc. In fact with Laracasts it will be less overwhelming and more enjoyable.
@rajkumarpb sure, i understand that i just wanted to convey how backend has it is own long list of stuff to learn and master so I wanted to emphasize on choosing one of those two things, either frontend of backend if one want to master it. And when in my comment I said "you" it refers to reader not particular person. Sorry for that confusion. I should have used word "one" instead of "you", my bad.
