Self-taught to Senior in 4 years | On the path to becoming a solo builder
I come from a low-income background. I鈥檓 not someone who has been coding since the age of 12, or a child genius. I saw the direction the world was going in with tech and I wanted a piece. So through grit, determination, hard work and late nights, I taught myself to code.
I landed a developer job and in under two years, I had doubled my salary. Then within 4 years I became a senior. I had the same opportunities as everyone else. I learnt that you have to work harder, faster and smarter to get where you want to be.
I am writing here, because no matter your background, income or lifestyle, you can do it too. The developer journey is far from easy, but if you stick with it, I promise it will be rewarding.
In a few months, I leave work to become a full-time solo builder. Follow me here and on Twitter to keep an eye out for what I build!
