I think that is a great point. I maybe got a bit too eager to just get the blog post out to where I haven’t gotten far enough to show off something yet. I think next up I’ll start sharing more screenshots, more code examples and more explanations of what I’m trying to achieve and how I’m trying to achieve it.
Sweet and simple. I think to make it more beginner friendly you could have emphasised that the way forwardRef is being used is using it where you would normally declare a functional component. Although I knew of forwardRef I had completely forgotten how it's used as I don't really use it in my day to day use, and I had to go back at a second read through to spot this detail. If I'm not picking up on it immediately I imagine a beginner reading this might also struggle. Thus why I think the emphasising of what forwardRef is would be beneficial. Other than that, great article 👌
The headless feature sounds pretty interesting. That was actually one of the reasons I joined here instead of another blogging platform. To me it’s a matter of scale. I can now start blogging, dip my toes in it here on the platform itself to see how I like it. Then later on I can fairly easily move to “write on my own blog” get all the benefits of both blogging on my own site as well as having the hashnode community without all the hassle of wondering where to host, double posting etc etc. of course as a developer the cmd k is also pretty sweet. I don’t use it much, but it makes me feel at home to know it’s there.
