ExpressJS and HTTPS

So, I got a ExpressJS application which sits behind an nginx proxy. The nginx proxy has a SSL certificate and only allows connection over HTTPS. My question is now: Is there any advantage that the Express server also has a SSL certificate?

Which Frontend Design Framework do you use? What's your opinion on Semantic UI?

What do you use as a Frontend Design Framework? In the Company I work we use Bootstrap and in a private project I use Semantic UI. I think the most developers use Bootstrap but I think that Semantic UI is also a very good choice.
