Hey Steven! Not a problem. I like to think that Codier is offering something different to the other editors you mentioned. Although Codier has an online playground, our main focus is creating a platform that people can host and attempt fun, inspiring and testing coding challenges. You mentioned Codier's audience; at this stage, it is hard for us to pinpoint exactly who the platform caters towards. When I was starting out in this industry (around 3 years ago), I always wanted to build stuff but found myself struggling with thinking of things to build - it's this experience that led me to create Codier, and I'd hope it appeals to people who are in the same position I was. But I also think it appeals to other audiences like you said, it could work well for teams, or even in education. Sorry about the lack of Emmet support! We use Monaco Editor for our editor, which as it stands does not support emmet. I'm hoping in the future it is introduced as I know a lot of people use it. Hope this provides a little more insight. I'd love to hear if you have any more thoughts!
Hey Steven, thanks for your comments. I like to think that Codier is providing something different; whether it is for teams like you suggested or individuals that are learning to code, our main priority is creating a platform that hosts fun, inspiring and testing coding challenges. You're right, the online playground market is very competitive and all of the names you have listed are great. Despite the overwhelmingly positive comments about our editor, we think it'd be foolish at this stage to consider ourselves a competitor to CodePen and JSFiddle. But like I said, this is not our focus at the moment, challenges are! P.S. Sorry about Emmet! The editor we use (Monaco) does not currently support it but we are hopeful it will be introduced in the future.
Hey Marco! Awesome solution ๐ค We currently only allow users to post one solution to a challenge. If you wish to show off a variety of ideas, we suggest that you try and fit them all into one creation. In terms of changing your design, feel free! People can always remove their upvote if they do not like the updated design. Kenan - Founder of Codier
