About
My journey into computing started as a young child with a secondhand Commodore 64. I had no formal understanding of programming or video games yet, but I spent hours at the keyboard typing symbols into the command line, pretending I was building interactive worlds.
For much of my early adult life, my primary focus was raising my children and spending my free time as a dedicated PC gamer playing World of Warcraft. Eventually, a simple realization shifted my path: I wanted to build complex digital systems rather than just play inside them. I enrolled in Computer Science at my local community college and graduated in 2017 as the first college graduate in my family.
Life brought major transitions after the birth of my third child in 2019 and a subsequent health crisis. In 2023, I resumed my technical education by enrolling in a Cybersecurity program at Strayer University. There, I developed a strong interest in computer networking, systems analysis, and ethical hacking.
During that degree, which I completed in December 2025, my focus expanded into Artificial Intelligence. Growing up, my earliest computing aspirations centered on machines simply playing music; interacting with systems that simulate human dialogue and reason through complex problems represented a profound shift. In 2024, I began actively testing and experimenting with AI architectures, analyzing how models process patterns and where their logic boundaries lie.
Today, my goal is to advance my education toward a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and contribute to the public sector as a civilian technical specialist for the United States government. This blog serves as my development notebook, where I document my work in systems programming, mathematics, cybersecurity, and applied machine learning models.

What I’m Looking to Build Next As I continue preparing for graduate research in Applied Artificial Intelligence and systems development, I am actively seeking collaborative, practical projects where I can apply my skills in real-world environments. I am open to freelance work, collaborative research teams, tech support roles, and volunteer initiatives across several core technical domains: Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) & Model Evaluation: Testing model behavior, evaluating reasoning boundaries, identifying logical edge cases, and working on alignment pipelines that improve generative output reliability. Cybersecurity & Network Defense: Practical security assessments, baseline vulnerability research, system auditing, and implementing defensive best practices for emerging infrastructures. Applied Software Development & Tooling: Building modular tools, API wrappers, automation scripts, and command-line utilities in Python and C++. Systems & Technical Support: Diagnosing infrastructure bottlenecks, troubleshooting software and network issues, and providing clear, patient technical guidance. Community Impact & Volunteering I believe strongly in making technical spaces more accessible. Alongside commercial or academic projects, I am eager to donate time and technical support to initiatives that serve the community: Supporting Senior Citizens: Helping older adults navigate digital systems safely, troubleshooting everyday devices, and understanding fundamental cybersecurity hygiene to protect against scams. (In Memorium: My mother, Lanell Kincaid, who passed away October 2, 2024, who always needed technical support) Mentoring Underrepresented STEM Students: Providing tutoring, practical debugging help, and structured encouragement to first-generation and underrepresented college students navigating early computer science, mathematics, or cybersecurity coursework. Early-Stage Startups & Nonprofits: Assisting mission-driven organizations and small teams that need help setting up software workflows, organizing data architectures, or securing their digital footprint on a limited budget.
