Next.Js treats even file or directory as a page but that's not always the desirable results. Won't it's help minimize going back and forth between directories if there was a way to mark a folder as containing reusable components of a page? Or how do you guys approach code organization?

One language for everything! That's JavaScript (NodeJS, Web, React Native for mobile , Desktop with electron). The support for JavaScript tools and ecosystem is enormous. Its even first citizen for most cloud technologies.
